Project Description

In 2013 we took on our first vacant home, for which our company is named after, 412 E. Lanvale St. We purchased this property through Baltimore City’s Vacant to Value (V2V) program, then went about performing a gut rehab on this place to turn it into a beautiful finished home.

Above: Finished kitchen. Salvaged countertops from a local school’s science laboratory. Open shelving of stainless steel, and a custom backsplash dreamed up and installed by the team at Four Twelve.

Below Left: The piece de resistance of 412 E Lanvale – custom staircase made from old Bethlehem Steel I-beams and salvaged oak joists from a 200 year-old general store in Ocean City, MD.

Below Right: Bamboo hardwood flooring in the living room, alongside a few custom pieces of furniture made from salvaged architectural elements found during our time as “pickers” on the Baltimore City vacant scene.

Below Left: Bathroom with clean design elements on the 3rd floor of the house. Double bowl floating vanity, framed mirrors, industrial light fixtures create a nice space.

Below Right: Inside the master bedroom you can see the spiral ductwork used for the HVAC system, alongside natural light shining through architectural wooden windows with craftsmanship on display through the trim work around the window.
