This project was a fun one - working with beautiful materials and millwork always perks us up. We used lots of marble on this project, a Moroccan tile mosaic, custom made cabinetry and millwork with brushed nickel fixtures throughout, which culminated in a very classic feel for the room.
Take a look at the video to see us in action.
In this bathroom we used a small hexagon marble shower floor tile, large hexagon bathroom floor tile and matching stone pieces of marble for the knee walls and countertop of the vanity, tying all three sections of the bathroom together. We also had the pleasure of weaving in other wonderful stylistic elements, such as frameless glass shower doors, glass accent stripe and a focal point mosaic of Moroccan encaustic tile at the back wall of the shower.
In order to create a "his and hers" feel within the bathrooms limited space, we installed a 72" double bowl vanity with 6" deep custom medicine cabinets facing towards the sink bowls on both sides. The vanity mirror is part of the custom millwork and the picture frame molding around it which connects seamlessly to the 5" crown molding wrapping around the entire room. These craftsman details, melded with the modern profile of the moldings, made for a really elegant finish to this bathroom.
